We were very satisfied on both fronts! We'll begin our day by exploring the manicured lawns, terraced beds, and extensive botanical collection of Bodnant Garden. All of the stops were interesting from stone circles, to cathedrals, to ruins. Maybe next time. My favorite was seeing Hadrian's wall and the associated Roman sites. My dad's family is of Welsh heritage, and I loved seeing my maiden name on streets, associated with a prince, and talked about on tours. Our coach driver ,Jim, was also very sweet and a great driver. Visiting Vindolanda and Hadrians wall ,incredible. It is the first guided tour that we have been on. We had a great group of travelers which made our trip very enjoyable. "There were a number of "moments," mostly related to the history of the Romans in England. However the Lakes Districts were amazing too. The tour was a great combination of laid back group experiences and enough information about each location so that I felt confidently adventurous going out and exploring on my own.
